WHAT THE STANDARD MEASURES
Certification isn't awarded for potential. It's awarded for demonstrated ability across five areas: stage presence and delivery, content depth and originality, audience engagement, professional conduct, and consistency across multiple live engagements.
Every applicant is assessed against the same criteria, regardless of who they are or who recommends them.
THE ISA CODE OF ETHICS
Every certified speaker agrees to uphold the ISA Code of Ethics as a condition of certification. This covers honesty in representing your experience and qualifications, respect for audiences and event organisers, and professional conduct on and off stage.
A Standard That's Maintained, Not Just Earned
Certification isn't a one-time achievement. ISA members are expected to continue developing, and higher tiers require ongoing engagement, whether that's live speaking, training others, or contributing to the profession.
This is what separates a certified ISA speaker from someone who completed a course once and stopped.
